Dr. Le Ho Hai, Vietnam

Pianist Le Ho Hai began piano lessons with People’s Artist Thai Thi Lien and graduated with a Bachelor of Music Degree in Piano Performance from the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music under the tutelage of Meritorious Teacher Tran Thanh Thao.
He continued his professional studies in France with Professors Muriel Blaisse, Anne-Marie de Lavilléon, and the world-renowned pianist Désiré N’Kaoua and graduated with First Prize in Piano Performance of postgraduate in the Cycle de Perfectionnement at the Saint-Maur-des-Fossés National Conservatory of Music and at the Versailles National Conservatory of Music. Under the guidance of Prof. People’s Teacher Tran Thu Ha, he received his PhD in Musicology from the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music.
He participated in many national and international competitions and won Second Prize at the Autumn National Music Competition in Hanoi, 1993; First Prize at the Concours Musical Regional d’Ile-de-France in Paris, 1999.
Le Ho Hai has performed for Vietnam Television, solo recital as well as soloist with the Symphony Orchestra of Saint-Maur-des-Fossés National Conservatory of Music, the Ho Chi Minh City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera. As a chamber musician, he has performed with violinists Maryvonne Le Dizès, Sylvie Gazeau, Nguyen Huu Nguyen, Nguyen Huu Khoi Nam, cellist Jêrôme Lefranc, pianists Patrick Zygmanowski, Boris Kraljevic, Rena Cheung-Phua, Van Hung Cuong, etc. He has been invited to give a lecture and conduct piano Masterclasses at the ASEAN Piano Pedagogy Forum organized by School of Young Talents – NAFA, Singapore. He has served as a jury member in many piano competitions in Vietnam and abroad. His students have won top awards in many national and international piano competitions.
He is currently a Head of Piano Department at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music.

M.M. Nguyen Thuy Yen, Vietnam

Master of Music (M.M.) Nguyen Thuy Yen graduated with the highest distinction, becoming the valedictorian of Piano Performance at HCMC Conservatory of Music in 2000 under the guidance of Honored Pedagogue (H.P.) Tran Thanh Thao – former Deputy Dean of Piano Department at HCMC Conservatory. In 2005, she graduated with the Master degree in Piano Performance under the guidance of Professor Nguyen Huu Tuan (Honored Artist, H.A.) – former Dean of Piano Department at Hanoi Conservatory of Music, and Prof. People’s Teacher Tran Thu Ha – former Director of Hanoi Conservatory of Music (now Vietnam National Conservatory of Music).
She has contributed to many performances organized by HCMC Conservatory of Music as well as by HCMC Ballet, Symphony, Orchestra and Opera (HBSO). She is currently the Deputy Dean of Piano Department of HCMC Conservatory of Music.
Thanks to her immense skill and intensive practice, M.M. Nguyen Thuy Yen was considered a piano talent and upon graduation, she was invited to several solo performances as well as concerts with the HBSO Orchestra under conductor H.A. Tran Vuong Thach, HCMC Conservatory of Music Orchestra under Spanish conductor David Gomez Ramirez, Dutch conductor Stulen, American conductor Glenn Block, etc. She also performed at the Washington State University (U.S.) and recorded several orchestral sessions for television broadcasts.
M.M. Nguyen Thuy Yen was one of the organizers and performers in the HCMC Conservatory of Music’s Piano Festival in 2011 and the second International Piano Festival in 2013. She was also a member of the judge panel in the national round of 2012 International Steinway Youth Piano Competition. She has also been a judge in the non-professional panel of HCMC Piano Competition since 2015.

Prof. Pianist Boris Kraljevic, Montenegro/Singapore

Boris Kraljevic completed his graduate and postgraduate studies (Master of Arts) at the State Conservatory Tchaikovsky in Moscow, Russia, in the class of Professor Lev Naumov. During his education he won the National Piano Competition in ex Yugoslavia three times and became laureate of international competitions. He had performed recitals and concerts with distinguished artists and ensembles in prestigious concert halls such as Musikverein in Vienna, Concert Hall of Moscow Conservatory Tchaikovsky, Esplanade in Singapore, Palace of United Nations in Geneva, Cairo Opera House, Teatro Solis in Montevideo, Cultural Center of Buenos Aires, Rudolfinum Concert Hall – Dvorak Hall in Prague, Concert Hall of Slovak Philharmonic, Opera House in Ho Chi Minh City, Seoul Arts Center and KUMHO Concert Hall in capital of South Korea, as well in KIOI Concert Hall and Bunka Kaikan Hall in Tokyo.
Boris Kraljevic resides in Singapore where he is teaching since 2006. He is Artistic Director of the International Festival Dani muzike in Herceg Novi, Montenegro, Artistic Director of Medan International Piano Competition, Indonesia and Honorary member of Council of the International Seoul Summer Music Festival in South Korea.
Under his guidance many students received accolades and became laureates of prestigious piano competitions such as “Gina Bachauer”, “Eastman Young Artists Piano Competition”, “Carl Czerny”, “Smetana Piano Competition”, “Concertino Praga”, national piano competitions in countries of ex Yugoslavia, Singapore and other countries of Asia.
The Spanish label KNS Classical released two CD’s of Boris Kraljevic with recorded pieces of W. A. Mozart and Late Piano works of Johannes Brahms. He is professor in demand for master classes at music conservatories worldwide and often sits in the jury of international piano competitions.

Dr. Dao Trong Tuyen, Vietnam

Dr. Dao Trong Tuyen was born in Hanoi, into a family of musical tradition. He graduated from the Vietnam National Academy of Music, received a Master’s degree from Laval University in Quebec (Canada) and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance from the University of Montreal (Canada). His principal instructors include Hoang Vinh Huong, Hoang Hoa, Professor Joel Pasquier, Prof. People’s Teacher Tran Thu Ha and Prof. People’s Artist Dang Thai Son.
Dr. Dao Trong Tuyen has performed with major Vietnamese orchestras such as the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra, the Hanoi Philharmonic Orchestra and the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet. He has recorded many works for the Vietnam Television and Voice of Vietnam.
Dr. Dao Trong Tuyen is currently Head of the Piano Department of the Vietnam National Academy of Music.

M.M. Ian God Bin Wei, Malaysia

A native of Malaysia, Ian Goh enjoys a multifaceted career as a pianist, composer, co-founder and artistic director of Claviera Music. He also holds the position of Malaysian President for the World Piano Teachers Association (WPTA) and concurrently serves as the President of the Malaysia Piano Teachers Association (MPTA).
His journey as a pianist is distinguished by a remarkable combination of technical brilliance and artistic sensitivity. He is often heard not only in solo recitals but also in chamber music concerts and has performed in the USA, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Japan, Singapore, and Malaysia. His triumph in the Missouri State University Concerto Competition in 2008 marked a pivotal moment, propelling him onto the stage of Juanita K. Hammons Hall for his concerto debut. Since then, he has been actively engaged in collaborative work with orchestras and ensembles, including prestigious partnerships with the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre Orchestra, Sixteen Strings String Quartet, DSCH String Quartet, and Debonair, among others. He has been invited to and has served on the faculty of many prestigious summer festivals, including the Glissando International Piano Festival (San Diego, USA), the Costa Rica Piano Festival, Euro Arts Academy (Jeju, South Korea), the PianoHouse Festival (New York, USA), the Talent Music Summer Courses & Festival (Brescia, Italy), and many more.
Beyond the piano keys, the versatility of Mr. Goh as a composer shines through his expansive repertoire that seamlessly blends classical and contemporary influences. His compositions have traversed borders, commissioned for competitions and festivals, and showcased in performances across the globe. The poignant “Loving Life” for Choir and String Orchestra, premiered at the Asia Pacific Arts Festival 2018, stands as a testament to his cross-cultural impact, resonating in Malaysia, the USA, Vietnam, and Cambodia. Notably, his composition “Wind Gust(s)” for Piano Solo was chosen as the compulsory piece for the Professional category at the Kingsburg International Piano Competition in Yantai, China, in 2018.
Mr. Goh’s commitment to nurturing the future of classical music is evident in his substantial contributions to the music education community. Having served as an adjudicator for over 80 international piano competitions and music festivals, he has become a sought-after guest faculty, lecturer, and examiner at esteemed institutions throughout Asia and the USA. His wealth of expertise has been instrumental in shaping the next generation of musicians, embodying a dedication to fostering talent.

Dr. Liao Hsin-Chiao, Taiwan

Admired for her stirring yet cordial touch, Taiwanese-born pianist Liao Hsin-Chiao has established a presence as one of today’s foremost rising pianists. Her performances have taken her to venues such as the Smithsonian in Washington, D. C., Symphony Space in New York, Merkin Concert Hall at Kaufman Music Center, and Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, among others. As an avid chamber musician, Hsin-Chiao has collaborated with acclaimed artists including Jennifer Frautschi, Harumi Rhodes, Philip Setzer, Arnaud Sussmann, Dimitri Murrath, Colin Carr, Cheng-Hou Lee, Alexander Fiterstein, and Carol Wincenc. Her festival appearances include Icicle Creek Chamber Festival, The Olympic Music Festival, Great Lakes Chamber Music Festival, Music@Menlo, and the prestigious Heifetz International Music Institute.
Hsin-Chiao moved to Hanoi, Vietnam in March 2021 and has since been active as a concert pianist and a music educator. Aside from being a core member of Schubert in a Mug, she has twice appeared as the soloist with the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra and Maestro Honna Tetsuji, performing Schumann’s Piano Concerto, Op. 54 (November 2021 and March 2022), and with the Ho Chi Minh City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera and Maestro Tran Vuong Thach, performing Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5, Op. 73 (February 2023). In May 2023, upon the invitation of Taiwan Trade Center (TAITRA), she gave the Vietnam Premiere of Tyzen Hsiao’s Piano Concerto in C Minor, Op. 53, alongside with the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra and Maestro Honna Tetsuji.
She has also been invited to judge music competitions in both Vietnam and Taiwan, including the Magic Music Festival and Competition (2021), the AIMA International Music Competition (2023), the Grand Opus International Piano Competition (2023), and the Chicago International Music Competition (2024).
In 2018, Hsin-Chiao received her Doctor of Musical Arts from Stony Brook University, New York, under the tutelage of Prof. Gilbert Kalish. She also holds a Master of Music from Stony Brook University and a Bachelor of Music from Taipei National University of the Arts, Taiwan, where she studied under Prof. Mei-Ling Wang.

M.M. Pham Nguyen Anh Vu, Vietnam

In 2002, under the guidance of Prof. Tran Thanh Thao, M.M. Pham Nguyen Anh Vu finished a Diploma in Piano Performance with Honour at HCMC Conservatory of Music and was accepted into the Piano Department. At the end of 2012, he finished the Master degree of Orchestra Conducting under the guidance of Professor Quang Hai and also finished the Master degree of Piano Performing in 2018 under the guidance of Associate Professor, Doctor Ta Quang Dong.
While being a teacher at the Piano Department, HCMC Conservatory of Music, he has led an active concert-life, performing with local and international artists including Patrick Zygmanovsky, Igor Chystoklevtov, Le Ho Hai, Nguyen Thuy Yen, Dang Ngoc Giang Quan, Van Hung Cuong, Duo Hirsch-Pinkas, etc. He performed with HCMC Ballet and Symphony Orchestra (HBSO) under the conducting of Mer. A. Tran Vuong Thach, Jan Stulen, Christian Schumann, David Gomez Ramirez, Le Phi Phi.
Furthermore, in August 2009, he was selected to join the Cultural Visitor Program for Young Artists held by the US Department of State and the Kennedy Center of Performing Art in Washington, D.C.
He has frequently been invited to join the Jury of the HCMC Piano Competition.
