On the evening of July 19, 2024, the Vietnamese people mourned the passing of the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Nguyen Phu Trong. This is an immense loss for the entire nation of Vietnam.

The Organizing Committee of the SIU Piano Competition 2024 has decided to postpone the organization of the Semi-Finals and Finals of the competition until further notice. The Organizing Committee will update the detailed new schedule of the competition on the official website and Facebook page of the competition as soon as possible.
